While the bells of a Royal Wedding peel out to the fading echoes of war, danger stalks the coastline of Wales Wales, 19 /5(10). I'd been waiting for the second book by Lorna Gray for some time and I wasn't disappointed. The beautiful voice, the rounded, complex characters, the setting, the quiet but strong romance and, above all, the suspense and thrilling twists make this a fantastic, gripping and memorable novel/5(24).

This was my first book I've read by Lorna Gray but she's definitely found a fan for life now. I'd recommend it if you're interested in life after the second world war and also if you like a bit of mystery and figuring out what the hell is going on! I'm a huge fan of sagas but this I have to say was so much more. Lorna Gray is passionate about understanding the past and takes much of her research from spoken history.
